Weather

Weather is very perfect as the March is a month of Spring season (Basant Ritu in Nepali Language). In this time, the temperature of weather is warm – not too cold and not too hot. It is perfect for travelling and likely to offer astounding view of the Himalayan range.

In this month, snow only sticks on the high altitudes. However, snowfall may surprise you in a rare case, and cause the disrupt of the trails. Almost all of the teahouses and lodges in Everest region remains opened in March, and most of them are filled with trekkers and climbers. Because it is a trekking season, the prices of the food menu and the accommodation may be higher in the region.

  • Get prepared with trekking gears includes warm-insulating clothing and a sleeping bag. Make sure, you bring warm clothes.
  • It is a trekking season. So, get your domestic flight booked earlier. Otherwise, the you may lose the flight.
  • Find the best trekking agency to make your trip safe. As already mentioned above, the trail might be full of crowd but not like in Autumn. So, it is better to go with trekking agency to manage accommodation and foods properly.
  • Don’t rush while you trek – Keep going slowly because you may fall into acute mountain sickness.
  • Do not forget to buy travel insurance that covers an altitude above 5000m.
